Our Wedding Dress Preservation Process

No two gowns get the same treatment, because no two gowns are the same. Here is how your dress moves through our hands, and what you will know at every step.

1. Assessment

We examine the gown together: fabric, construction, beadwork, hems, and every mark the day left behind. You get a firm quote and a timeline before anything else happens.

2. Stain Treatment

Each stain is identified and treated for what it is. Perspiration, makeup, wine, and grass all respond differently, and treating them correctly the first time is most of the work.

3. Gentle Cleaning

Your gown is cleaned with eco-friendly solvents matched to its fabric. Delicate materials and hand-sewn embellishments are handled the careful way, not the fast way.

4. Finishing

Careful pressing and detailing bring the gown back to the shape it held on the day itself.

5. Preservation

The gown is preserved using museum-quality techniques for long-term storage, so it is protected for the years ahead.

How Long It Takes

Every gown is different, so we give you a clear timeline when we see the dress. Working against a date? We welcome rush requests and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Process Questions

How long does wedding dress preservation take?+

It depends on the gown, so we commit to a timeline when we see it. You will know the schedule before we begin, and we welcome rush requests.

My dress has stains from months ago. Can they still be treated?+

Bring it in. Set-in stains are assessed individually, and we will tell you exactly what we can do for yours before any work starts.

What should I do with my dress right after the wedding?+

Keep it out of plastic and out of sunlight, and get it to us as soon as you reasonably can. The sooner stains are treated, the better they respond.

Do I need an appointment?+

No. Drop in during business hours, or schedule a free pickup and we will come to you anywhere in Bucks County.
